As 2012 draws to a close, I’ve selected my favourite moments in the world of fashion this year month by month.
Half-French, half-Senegalese model Julia Sarr-Jamois was spotted on the streets of Milan in January this year sporting a Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti coat, Christopher Kane trousers, Prada jumper, Alberta Ferretti shirt, Prada shoes and a Chanel bag. Definitely a Label girl.
Mario Testino shoots Taylor Swift for the Vogue US February issue this year. She rocks a full skirt, high neck dress from Rodarte’s Autumn collection. The dress features prints from Vincent Van Gogh’s famous works.
On a visit to Leicester in March this year, Kate Middleton kept it chic in a skirt suit from LK Bennett, heels from Episode and a James Lock hat.
One of my favourite, and the most successful British fashion bloggers, Susie Lau, attended the Harvey Nichols Club event in Monaco for Tommy Ton in April. She is wearing a zip up pink jacket, watercolour top and sky blue skirt.
Rihanna was spotted on the streets of New York sporting a casual pair of floral shorts, high tops, a coral jumper and ‘barely there’ make up. Love this look on Rhi-Rhi.
Blake Lively wears a yellow Gucci Bespoke dress and makes her first appearance after being announced as the face of the Gucci Première Fragrance, at the New York premier of her film Savages.
On the 4th of July this year Solange Knowles blogged several photos of her, sister Beyoncé and family kicking back in Texas, being super patriotic and looking uber trendy. My favourite fashion moment this year by far.
It’s Beyoncé again! my favourite fashion moment of August was seeing this brilliant photo of Beyoncé chilling out in a onesie and cowboy boots (you can take the girl out of Texas…). Only Queen Bey can make a onesie look Haute Couture, this is actually a product of Topshop and only costs £34! Bargain.
Rihanna looks stunning in this bespoke floor-length Adam Selman white dress, and Manolo Blahnik sandals at the MTV VMAs in September this year.
My favourite on-line store, ASOS, featured two of my favourite musicians-Azealia Banks and Ellie Goulding-in their Autumn/Winter Campaign.
Last month Dutch model Anna de Rijk shot this stunning cover for Vogue Netherlands. Anna, who is naturally copper blonde, rocks jet black locks and brows for this shoot, making her icy blue eyes pierce through this shot. She wore Dolce & Gabbana and was photographed by Marc de Groot. Beautiful.
This month, Brit model Kate Moss channelled Brigitte Bardot for the cover of Vanity Fair US. The 38 year old proved that she’s still got it through a seductive photo shoot, including some topless shots! She looks fantastic.
