A Long Weekend in Paris & Galeries Lafayette’s Autumn/Winter 14/15 Fashion Show

Hey guys, I hope you’ve all had a great Christmas.

So this post is waaaay overdue but it’s better late than never.

Early last month I popped over to Paris for an enjoyable long weekend.

My only prior experience of Paris had been a brief encounter while researching for my dissertation on French Fashion, so I didn’t really get to do it properly and see the sights. This time around I was determined to see proper Paris, and had a great time doing so.

We booked an apartment through Air BNB in the trendy up-and-coming ‘Canal St-Martin’ area, which was great for getting around.

While there we explored the Canal area and got talking to a really friendly waitress who gave us all the best places to go eat and drink-with a local’s stamp of approval (very important while abroad).

I also took the opportunity to attend a free Fashion show at the world famous Galeries Lafayette, where they showcased their Autumn/Winter ’14 collections.
